Pathway Courses at University
Accelerated Pre-Masters Programme
With the Accelerated Pre-Masters Programme you will receive excellent academic and English language teaching you need for postgraduate success within just 12 weeks (plus induction and exam week). Start in September, and alongside completing your pathway programme faster, you will also progress to the University of Strathclyde in January. You can choose from two subject routes, depending on the degree you want to study: Business and Social Sciences or Engineering and Sciences. Once you successfully complete this programme and achieve the required grades, you can start your chosen Masters degree at Strathclyde.
Pre-Masters Programme in Engineering and Sciences
This two-term pathway will prepare you for your chosen postgraduate degree at the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Science. You will study core modules, focusing on general skills and academic areas most useful to your chosen progression degree. Upon achieving the required grades at the International Study Centre, you can progress to Strathclyde in September.
Pre-Masters Programme in Business and Social Sciences
Formerly known as Business and Social Studies, this two-term pathway will prepare you for your chosen postgraduate degree at the Strathclyde Business School or Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. You will study core modules, focusing on general skills and academic areas most useful to your chosen progression degree. After you have successfully completed the Pre-Masters Programme and achieved the required grades, you can progress to Strathclyde in September.
International Year Two Civil Engineering
This programme provides an accelerated route to the third year of a four-year Civil Engineering degree at the University of Strathclyde. It is designed to support overseas students who perform well-above the level needed for entry to the Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Engineering and Sciences, so you can gain your degree sooner.
International Year Two Business
A pathway to study Business. If you’re looking to study a business degree at an internationally recognised business school, the International Year Two offers a fast-track route to your graduation. When you successfully complete the International Year Two programme, you can progress to the third year of a four-year BA degree or the second year of the three-year accelerated BBA degree at the University of Strathclyde.
Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Engineering and Sciences
This pathway will prepare you for your chosen undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Science. Studying our Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Engineering and Sciences means you will: Become a part of a supportive international community Learn under our expert staff as you navigate a new education system Choose modules based on your progression degree so you can progress to the second year of your degree at the University.
Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Business and Social Sciences
ormerly known as Business and Social Studies, this pathway will prepare you for your chosen undergraduate degree at the Strathclyde Business School or Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. You will study three core modules that will focus on general skills useful in your chosen progression degree, plus route modules specific to your academic area.
